WHICH LOG SIDING OR PANELING PRODUCT FITS YOUR APPLICATION? WHAT FITS YOUR BUDGET?

Town & Country Cedar Products offers almost every log home building project imaginable - all milled in Boyne Falls, Michigan.  Choosing the right product at the right price is a good reason to contact our Sales Consultants for advice.  But the basics are always good to know:

Log Siding is available in Half Log and Quarter Log styles. Half Log Siding may be more expensive, but the finish is beautiful for custom home interiors and exteriors. Quarter Log Siding has all the quality of Half Log Siding, but without as much expense. You can get a first class exterior at less expense for smaller homes or cabins using Quarter Log Siding.

Both Quarter Log Siding and Half Log Siding can be used on the interior and exterior of the home. However, Town & Country recommends using Quarter Log Siding on the Interior to lower costs and allow for more interior room.  Quarter Log Siding is 1 1/2 Inches thick at the top of the radius, while Half Log Siding. is 2 1/2 Inches thick at the top fo the radius.

Quarter and Half Log siding can be applied with or without Chinking.  Town & Country Cedar Products can also supply your 3/4" X 3/4" T&G Spacer Strip and Permachink chinking product for your order.   Applying interior or exterior log siding or paneling with chinking requires skill and should be done by a professional for best results.

Log Sidings are available with hand-hewn or adzed finishes.

Quarter Log Siding is available in 2 x 8 or 2 x 6 standard sizes. Half Log Siding is available in 3 x 8 or 3 x 6 standard sizes.

To finish your interior with an even more affordable product,  use Northern White Cedar Tongue & Groove, End Matched Paneling available in  1 x 5 or 1 x 6 x 8 ft. lengths.  This product is smooth finished and pre-sanded - making application a breeze!  Tongue & Groove End Matched Paneling is also used for exterior soffits, under porch overhangs, and on interior ceilings.  It can be installed in a variety of patterns, adding craftsmanship to your finished project.

Another affordable interior finish product is our Cedar Bead Board paneling. Besides being easy to install, it's finish provides a more 'cottage' feel, and is very trendy with a clear stain or painted finish on the interior, particularly in a half wall finished with mid-wall wainscot.
