All of the items are constructed of kiln-dried white cedar. Our beds are built with hand hewn & finish sanded tenon joints. The main posts are of 6"-7" diameter logs, cross rails are of 3"-4", and spindles average 2-1/2"-3" diameter. This gives our products a little "huskier" look than most other beds & furniture on the market, and a much sturdier feel. All of our components are finish sanded to 220 grit & all items receive a (3) coat finish of a medium rubbed-effect moisture resistant laquar. The light amber finish excentuates the beauty of the white cedar, while providing durable protection.
